The La Maddalena Archipelago and Southern Corsica are known for their enchanting islands rising from a sea of indescribable colours.
The main islands that make up the archipelago south of Corsica near the white cliffs of Bonifacio are three:
- Lavezzi
- Isola Piana
- Cavallo
There are seven main islands in the La Maddalena Archipelago:
- La Maddalena
- Caprera
- Santo Stefano
- Spargi
- Budelli
- Santa Maria
- Razzoli
There are also a multitude of rocks, reefs, islets that dot the landscape and make this incredible stretch of sea unique.
- Bonifacio: the town of Bonifacio with its white cliffs overlooking the Bocche di Bonifacio is located a few miles of navigation from the La Maddalena Archipelago. It is a very picturesque town famous for its conformation and its white limestone cliffs visible from miles away. The entrance to the harbour of Bonifacio is unique, a long, narrow fjord that always leaves speechless navigators who sail the Bocche di Bonifacio
- Lavezzi: Lavezzi Island is the heart of the Bocche di Bonifacio Nature Reserve, better known as the City of Groupers - Mérouville. It is a popular destination for diving and snorkelling. The Island is located in the centre of the Bocche di Bonifacio opposite the Island of Razzoli and the La Maddalena National Park.
- Isola Piana and its Blue Lagoon: a place capable of enchanting and stealing the heart. It is a strip of sand that connects the Piana island to the mainland which creates a passage that emerges and disappears with the movements of the tide. The island is part of the Lavezzi Islands Nature Reserve, near Cavallo Island
Cavallo: Cavallo island is a famous private island overlooking the Strait of Bonifacio. It is located north of Lavezzi and is an exclusive island with luxury homes where docking is not permitted

Caprera is also home of "Musei Garibaldini", a Museum System that includes Garibaldi's Compendium and the Giuseppe Garibaldi Memorial. Caprera hosted the hero of the two worlds in the famous 'white house' immersed in the scents and colours of Mediterranean scrub, a true dive into history and nature.
Certainly, Cala Coticcio is a beach famous for the colour of its water, sand and unspoilt nature that surrounds it, also known as Tahiti.
It is clearly visible from the sea, but it is one of the most famous beaches in the Maddalena Archipelago, so it is highly visited.
The island of Santo Stefano is mostly privately owned and hosts some settlements of the Italian Navy.

The island of Budelli is a well-known island because it is home to Spiaggia Rosa, a famous sandbank that is now a protected area by the Park. The pink colour seems to be due to the presence of the remains of microscopic organisms, mainly foraminifera and bryozoa. The Spiaggia Rosa is clearly visible from the sea and can be approached from land by walking along a boardwalk bordered by stakes to protect the dunes and sand.

Some of the most famous bays and coves in Santa Maria are:
- Cala Santa Maria

- Passo degli Asinelli
The Island of Santa Maria in the Archipelago is a small and delightful island whose name seems to derive from the Benedictine monastery of Sancta Maria de Budello that dates back to medieval times, the remains of which are now in ruins.
Of particular note is the stretch of sea bordered by the three islands Santa Maria, Razzoli and Budelli, known as Porto della Madonna. A stretch of sea with disarming colours that experiences all shades of colour from white through light blue, turquoise to deep blue.
The island of Razzoli is home to a wonderful and impressive 19th century lighthouse. The lighthouse is currently under renovation so it is not possible to visit it. However, it is permitted to walk along a path through the Mediterranean shrub, which allows you to see it in the distance and take some incredibly impressive shots.
Some of the most famous bays and coves in Razzoli are:
